Veterans Spread Their Wings

Bob Reynolds and Frank Martin traded a walker and a wheelchair for a set of wings and a dream flight Tuesday at the Lebanon airport.
The Navy veterans, who live at The Oaks at Lebanon, a retirement community, were whicked skyward in a 1943 Stearman biplane piloted by Darryl Fisher, founder of Ageless Aviation Dreams in Carson City, NV.
"We got started two years ago and I just gave my eighty-second ride," Fisher said as medics from the Lebanon Fire and Ambulance District helped Reynolds, 81, onto a wing and then into the front cockpit.
